Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic edemas originate from injuries, operations, scarring, and a breakdown in the lymphatic system and also by orthopedic changes in tension of the muscle tissue.

They are physiological and after an injury, a normal process of healing. However, different underlying illnesses or abrupt changes of the tissue can lead to a backup of lymphatic fluid. This prevents the removal of waste-by-products from the tissue cells leaving the patient more susceptible to further infections.

Here lymphatic drainage can help the body drain buildup fluids and thereby detoxify. In addition, there are bandage methods such as pressure socks and KT (Kinesio Tap) aka Lymph Taping to aid in drainage of fluids from the body.

Of course, the cause of the Lymphatic edema should be addressed simultaneous with Lymphatic treatment as only then can success be achieved. The Lymphatic treatment is a circular movement of the skin and targeted muscles. The side effects are so low that there is barely any visible reaction to blood vessels on the surface of the skin and pain is practically nonexistent.

Lymph drainage is a pleasurable and relaxing method for removal of excess fluid buildup in the body.
